This panel will bring together interdisciplinary experts in the field of wireless communications, including policy, economics, and engineering, to discuss the latest developments and emerging trends in the next generation of communications technology. The panelists will share their insights on the future of wireless communications and how 6G technology will shape our digital world. They will explore the challenges and opportunities that come with the deployment of 6G networks and supporting emerging technologies, such as AI, quantum computing, blockchain, Web3, metaverse, and NFT.
Overall, the panel aims to generate discussion around key foundations needed for successful development, deployment, operations, and management of 6G communications. What are important lessons learned from previous generations of wireless communications that can help with 6G? What worked well? What improvements are needed?
Discussion topics may include open and virtual networks, security and privacy, sustainability, use cases, spectrum management and communications policy, international considerations, and societal and economic impacts.
